Paris, September 8, 2024 - According to Reuters, the organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have announced the ticket sales figures for both events.

With a total of 12 million tickets sold for both Olympic spectacles, the French hosts have surpassed the previous summer Games record, set by the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, where 8.2 million tickets were sold for the Olympics and 2.7 million for the Paralympics.

The Parisians sold approximately 9.5 million tickets for the Olympics and 2.5 million for the Paralympics. To recall, despite the high interest in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both events were held without spectators in the venues.

It will be interesting to see if the organizers of the 2028 Games in Los Angeles can challenge the Paris record.
