Zagreb, 26 January 2026 – At the 25th Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo (6–22 February), Croatia will be represented by 14 female and male athletes competing in four sports. This will mark Croatia’s tenth appearance at the Winter Olympic Games under its own national flag.

On 21–22 January 2026, the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ funded STRONG project was held in Brussels, marking the official launch of a new European initiative focused on strengthening athletes’ rights within National Olympic Committees.

Istanbul, 15 January 2026 – The European Olympic Committees (EOC) Coordination Commission for the 4th European Games 2027, chaired by EOC Executive Committee member and President of the Romanian National Olympic Committee (NOC), Mihai Covaliu, has concluded its first two-day visit to the host city of Istanbul.
