Zagreb, July 2, 2024 – The President and Secretary General of the Croatian Sports Journalists Association, Jura Ozmec and Marijan Bakić sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of World Sports Journalists Day (July 2).

"This year is somewhat different from previous years because AIPS, the International Sports Press Association, is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and we are not far behind. The Croatian Sports Journalists Association has a rich 75-year history, and we are proud of that.

This year is also significant for the Croatian Sports Journalists Association because after 75 years, we have moved out of the Journalists' House, and thanks to the Croatian Olympic Committee, we are now officially located at Odranska 1 in Zagreb."

The President of the Croatian Olympic Committee, Zlatko Mateša, and Secretary General Siniša Krajač congratulated sports journalists on their holiday:

"Sports are unimaginable without the media and sports journalists, and we in Croatia, a small country with great sports achievements, know this particularly well. The Croatian Olympic Committee places special emphasis on cooperation with media representatives, which is most clearly demonstrated by the fact that the national association of sports journalists, will share the same address with the Croatian Olympic Committee in the new premises.

To all those who engage in sports journalism – we wish you a happy World Sports Journalists Day!"
